A pioneering arts organisation investing in new artists and new ideas and aiming to make the arts highly accessible to the public. Alternative arts produces and directs photomonth and presents a diverse programme of arts events throughout each year including jazz, dance, theatre, literature, photography, fashion, festivals and exhibitions.

Every two years BPF designs and delivers a city-wide festival of photography and lens-based exhibitions and events that attracts diverse local, national and international participants and audiences. Showcasing the best of current photographic practice, the festival is open to all, giving it its strong character, attitude, playfulness and freedom.

The Cass is internationally recognised for its high quality teaching, excellent facilities and unique interdisciplinary opportunities. Learning through practice, playing with process and working with clients, students at The Cass gain real world experience in both individual and collaborative projects, engaging with professionals, communities and companies. There is a strong emphasis in our studios on socially engaged Architecture, Art and Design applied to both local and global contexts, and many projects focus on London. Our central London location also gives you easy access to the creative and cultural hub which surrounds the Aldgate Campus. Our many specialist facilities include wood and metal workshops, laboratories, TV and recording studios, editing suites, darkrooms and Metropolitan Works our digital manufacturing centre. Many of our students have exhibited at major international exhibitions and festivals and have won prestigious awards.

Having recently concluded its expansion into the former Library next door the Gallery continues its aim to bring great art to East London. The Gallery has premiered international artists such as Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Nan Goldin, and provided a showcase for Britain’s most significant artists from Gilbert & George to Lucian Freud, Peter Doig to Mark Wallinger.

The World Photography Organisation (WPO) supports professional, amateur and student photography and lends a global platform for the photographic industry to communicate, converge and showcase current trends in Photojournalism, Fine Art and Commercial Photography. The World Photography Organisation delivers various initiatives and programmes across the global photographic community under the “World Photography” brand. These programmes involve the amateur and professional photographer in commercial, cultural and educational activities within the photographic industry. Currently included within the World Photography portfolio are the World Photography Awards sponsored by Sony; the World Photography Student Focus Competition and the World Photography Awards Global Tour and the World Photography Focus Programme.
